Sight & Sound has been a proud partner of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) for years, producing their annual conference with precision and creativity. On August 2, 2025, in Orlando, FL, the 86th Annual Conference offered the chance to deliver the same seamless AV experience while introducing something entirely new. 

Beyond the trusted setup for general sessions and the awards dinner, this year’s event featured an Engagement Room – an interactive, themed space designed to foster networking, connection, and energy throughout the summit.

Peaks of Wisdom

Guests were welcomed into the Engagement Room through Peaks of Wisdom, a large mountain-inspired installation that set the stage for the experience ahead. Tents, camp-style props, and a campfire scene created the feeling of entering a summit.

Attendees were invited to write personal goals or achievements on sticky notes and place them on the “mountain,” adding a collective, interactive element that celebrated the community of professionals in attendance.

Engagement Pods

Inside the room, six distinct pods offered spaces tailored to different personalities and needs. Each vignette created its own environment, encouraging attendees to connect in a way that felt natural to them.

Library Pod

This area provided a quiet retreat, complete with a desk for book signings and a cozy, relaxed feel. It became a natural place for reflection and conversation in a softer setting.

Camp Summit Pod

With Adirondack chairs, greenery, and a campfire-style arrangement, this pod created a warm, rustic environment. Guests gathered around in a casual, outdoor-inspired space that invited easy conversation.

Rising Leader Pod

For those looking for a more formal setting, the Rising Leader pod offered polished furnishings and an atmosphere suited for professional networking and leadership discussions.

Power Pod

Modern and sleek, the Power Pod leaned into a tech-forward aesthetic. Its design gave off an innovative energy, appealing to attendees drawn to fresh ideas and forward-thinking conversations.

Content Creator Pod

Vibrant colors and interactive props, including a ring light and camera setup, gave this pod an eccentric and playful energy. It reflected the spirit of digital creativity and became a popular stop for attendees who wanted to engage visually.

Florida Gator Pod

With blue and orange drapery, branded signage, and even a 3D alligator installation, this pod brought a spirited, local identity into the room. It celebrated the University of Florida connection in a way that was bold and unmistakable.

Alongside the pods, a café-style area offered attendees a place to recharge. Under vintage awnings and plantation-style bars, coffee was served, and summit merchandise was available for purchase, making the space both functional and inviting.

Planning and Collaboration

While Sight & Sound is experienced in producing FPRA’s annual conference, creating six fully realized pods within a compact footprint was a new challenge. Success came through close collaboration with the client, balancing must-have elements with the practical realities of the space. 

By refining the vision together, the team ensured every detail added value to the attendee experience while maintaining a smooth flow throughout the venue.

A Successful Result

The Engagement Room quickly became a highlight of the summit. Attendees engaged with each pod, left their mark on Peaks of Wisdom, and enjoyed the variety of spaces designed for them. As the event closed, FPRA expressed their excitement and gratitude, noting how pleased they were with the creative design and flawless execution.
